Bringing Thinking and Networking Together for an Amusing Evening

The second “Anglo Chambers After Hours Networking Cocktail” this year proved to be a great success. After the first joint anglo Chambers event organised by the Franco-British Chamber in June on a boat on the Seine, it was the turn of the AmCham to organise this event, held in the luxurious salons of the Intercontinental Paris Le Grand Hotel.

The event was billed as a unique networking adventure and members from the British, Irish, Canadian and Australian chambers all arrived with their thinking caps on, ready to participate in the night’s activities. After a some initial mixing and mingling, the competition commenced and each chamber was pitted against the other in a game of logic, reason and teamwork that was organised by the sponsor of the event, Ravenchase. With the Americans and the British winning the Individual titles, and the Australians taking the team prize, the Irish finished a close second and the competition was great fun for all. The atmosphere was alive with cocktails and networking as all in attendance were able to get to know their fellow Chamber Members. Each Chamber boasted a good showing at the event and everyone left with a smile on their face looking forward to the next “Anglo Apero”. It will be the turn of the Franco-Irish Chamber to organize the next one in the spring of 2009.
