"Coaching in Communication Skills"

The objective with this 4th in the series of Business Forum run by the CCIFIRL and TheGreenRoom, was to provide members with a taste of professional coaching without the usual corporate price-tag, within an atmosphere of social networking conducive to relaxed and fruitful communication.

The guest speaker Michele Batany, a member of the CCIFIRL, is a professional coach who regularly holds coaching seminars in both French and English on a wide range of professionally relatd topics.

Some 35 members of both organisations came to the event.
It proved to be a very interesting evening during which Michele Batany presented a coaching tool she uses called "La Méthode Arc en Ciel"; This personal development tool was developed for use in a professional environment by Patrice Fabart and is based on the theories of Carl Jung and DISC - a quadrant behavioural model founded on the theories of William Marston who is often referred to as the father of behavioural science. Once the participants had understood the principle, Michele started an amusing and informative interactive session, with participants divided up into groups. Everybody enjoyed the session and there was a real buzz over drinks and snacks afterwards.
