Lunch at the Races
The Chamber traditionally organises a summer “Lunch at the Races” with ABIE (Australian Business in Europe) at the end of June, at Auteuil Racecourse.
The conditions were perfect this year on the 24th of June to appreciate the last steeplechase meeting of the season, and enjoy the magnificent setting with its beautiful gardens and facilities. The ladies came adorned with elegant hats, which set the tone for an elegant and convivial event.
Capucine Houel from the French Racing and Breeding Committee gave guests a very interesting overview of “the business of racing” and also took them to visit the parade ring, which was much appreciated. She explained how the betting system works in France and participants had fun trying to choose winners. A good time was had by all, while networking in the “Restaurant Panoramique” which offers a wonderful view of both the Racecourse and Paris.
